Mold polishing is generally a process of grinding the surface of the mold cavity by using oilstone, sandpaper, polishing paste, wool wheel, etc., so that the working surface of the mold can be as bright as a mirror, which is mainly operated by hand.
Mold polishing has two purposes:
1. Increase the finish of the mold, so that the surface of the products produced by the mold is smooth and beautiful
2. Make the mold easy to release, so that the plastic is not stuck to the mold, easy to take out plastic parts
The general process of mold polishing:
1. Use rough stone to polish the tool marks on the surface of the mold cavity
2. Use fine stone polishing to remove rough stone polishing marks
3. Use fine sandpaper to polish the surface polished by fine oilstone
4. Finish the final polishing and polishing of the surface of mold cavity with polishing paste or polishing paste
